what an absolutely gorgeous reading this was, keerawa. the story is almost like a poem, isn't it? and the way you read it really emphasized what is unusual (and lyrical and beautiful) about the language etcetera cat uses.

The moment I read that snippet, I wanted to hear it. It just felt like a spoken word piece. Thank you for the feedback, zabira!

Thank you for reading it so gorgeously! It was really interesting to see how the rhythm of the words actually translated out and read to someone who wasn't inside my head! *g*

It was a bit nervous, actually, reading someone else's work. Is this what she meant? Or was it more like that? Interestingly, it puts another person's interpretation in between the author and the audience.

I'm glad that you like how it turned out!

Downloaded this when it came out and then forgot about it, but now I've listened to it. It's beautiful, both the snippet and your reading. I love the repeating phrases. And you do a great job of bringing out the emotions and making me feel Ray's panic.
