Fitz stood in the street, looking up at the darkened window of a beautiful young widow in need of comforting.
"But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks?"
Shakespeare's plays were all the rage this year. Women loved it when you quoted poetry to them. Fitz felt eyes upon him. He turned to find a tomcat staring.
"Is this your spot?" Fitz whispered.
The cat's tail twitched.
"Well, I'm sure she'll let me in soon." He fumbled through his pouch for a sausage and tossed it to the cat.
Now, where was he? Ah. "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!"
