DSSS fic check-in

I'm missing my daily writing check-in and affirmation at wrisomifu, so I'll post here and hope for some comfort and/or tough love from my f-list.

The Good News:
1) I finally found the right music to help me write this piece. Wheee!
2) I figured out what happens in between all the bits I've already written, so I now see how everything will fit together. Yay!

The Bad News:
1) I thought I was almost done. Now it turns out I'm less than half-way done. Eeep!
2) Still lots of research to be done. Or I could go about it in a half-assed way, and only a handful of readers would know the difference. Quandry!
3) The deadline is less than two weeks off. Panic!

I've only just started writing in earnest (whoever Earnest is). Now that I realise what I want to write (sort of), it's coming easier. It looks like it doesn't suck so far, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I've never heard of wrisomifu. I definitely am joining next year, because I need to be bugged to write. It sounds perfect for a giant procrastinator like me.

Yay for not sucking! wrisomifu is the under-achievers' alternative to NaNoWriMo. It stands for "Write Something You Miserable Fuck." The idea is that, for the month of November, you try to write for at least 10 minutes per day. There are daily check-ins, with word counts and such. And it's a wonderful place to bitch about writing.

It was GREAT stuff!
