Queen of Light took her bow, And then she turned to go,
The Prince of Peace embraced the gloom, And walked the night alone.

Oh, dance in the dark of night, Sing to the morning light.
The Dark Lord rides in force tonight, And time will tell us all.

Oh, throw down your plow and hoe, Rest not until you're home.

Side by side we wait the might of the darkest of them all.

The apples of the valley hold, The seeds of happiness,
The ground is rich from tender care, Repay, do not forget, no, no.

Dance in the dark of night, sing to the morning light.

The apples turn to brown and black, The tyrant's face is red.

Oh war is common cry, Pick up you swords and die.
The sky is filled with good and bad that mortals never know.

The pain of war cannot exceed the woe of aftermath,
The drums will shake the castle wall, the ring wraiths ride in black, Ride on.

Oh dance in the dark of night, Sing to the morning light.
The magic runes are writ in gold to bring the balance back. Bring it back.

At last the sun is shining, The clouds of blue roll by,
With flames from the dragon of darkness, the sunlight blinds his eyes.

Ohhh ohhh ohhhh, ahh ahh ahh ahh

Bring it back,(x8)
Bring it back,(x4)
Oh now, (x8)
Bring it, (x4)

Re: "Battle Of Evermore"
aerwynblue -

I can understand not wanting to register. Sorry, that's a new requirement since I last used the service.

Here is an alternative download link through FileFront.

VividCon was a recent vidding convention in Chicago, and they burned a dvd of all the vids that premiered there for the participants. My vid was there, but I (sadly) wasn't. If you really want a copy, I know several people who attended and might be able to get you a copy.

Very nicely done, Keerwa. I liked the juxtaposition of the kata and the shots at the end very much.

BTW, have you heard the version of "Battle of Evermore" done by the Lovemongers. It's on the soundtrack of the movies, "Singles," and personally I like it better than the Led Zepplin version.

Thank you, Diane! Picking moments to recall their relationship over time was a lot of fun, and that kata is just beautiful.

I haven't heard the Lovemongers song - I'll check it out. I could remake the vid, and then have a Highlander vid using a Lovemongers version of a Led Zeppelin song about Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. *grins*

I couldn't seem to get the link. The first time I got a log in page. And the filefront was just as ad. Can you send me the link please?

Happy Birthday, Pat!

I'll try emailing the link to you directly through You Send It. It MIGHT not ask you to register in that case.

Sadly, it seems like you get what you pay for with free file hosting services. I really need to get myself a website someday soon.

Wow, I really enjoyed this portrait of Mac as a man struggling with his own inner darkness. Good job.

Thank you, fenling!

This vid is interesting, because I think that often the story I was planning to tell is not the one that my audience perceives. I made a story about vengeance and forgiveness, where MacLeod struggles with his decision to stop Cassandra from taking revenge on Methos. From what I hear, people are watching a vid in which MacLeod struggles with his own darkest impulses, that could push him into becoming a Horseman-like character himself. That's a compelling story, too, and when I went back to re-watch my vid, I could SEE it in there.

Vids seem to be much more ambiguous than written fic. I quite enjoy it.

Thank you very much! - I love this vid, the parallels between Duncan and Methos you tease out, and the way his own attitude towards vengeance becomes tangled with those. Very cool!
